Automatic Milking Systems
At Boumatic Gascoigne Melotte we offer a range of different automatic milking systems that you can add to your machine so that you can optimise and improve your dairy herd on a daily basis. The types of automation that we supply will help you decrease workload but also to maximise the potential of your herd.
Isolator Xp Automatic Cluster Remover:
The automatic cluster remover is a tool that almost every farmer requires. It has many advantages for the modern day dairy farmer. It eases the operator’s workload and also takes the pressure of having to control the end of the milking process. With the Cluster Remover the cluster is been taking off the cow at the same time for every milking. This will lead to less cases of the cows been either over or under milked and this then in turn will lead to better cow health and less disease. The Boumatic Gascoigne Melotte Cluster removers are called Isolator Xp Removers and come with a milk flow sensor built in, this will measure the amount of milk that is going through it and when it reduces to a certain level the sensor will send a signal to the ram of the removers to take the cluster off the cow. The level of milk flow is factory calibrated but can be changed upon request. The milk flow sensor is situated just above the milk line and once the milk passes through it will then go into the milk line. There is also an override button for the cluster remover. This is a button that will be situated in the pit that will allow the operator to manually milk the cow if needs be. With our cluster remover you have the added bonus of having the auto start feature. With this all you have to do to initiate pulsation and vacuum is to take the weight off the cluster. This is a very simple and effective way to start pulsation and vacuum and you don’t have to worry about pressing any switches or button. Another key feature with our removers is that once you turn on the machine, the removers will pull themselves out of the wash position and be hanging there waiting for you to milk. The cluster remover also detects cluster drop off and will then activate the ram to lift it back up, a flashing light will warn the operator of the drop off and that the milking is not finished, therefore there will be no loss of vacuum and dirt and other debris cannot be sucked into the system. With our cluster removers we ring our vacuum line, meaning we have one vacuum line above the other, and take the vacuum for the removers out of the top line so that it doesn’t interfere with the vacuum of the main line and this helps keep vacuum steady. The isolator Xp can be fitted into any parlour regardless of size, type or brand.
Gmi Milk Yield Indicator:
Our milk yield indicator is the simplest and most effective way off keeping up to date of the yields of your herd. It will give you a digital display of the cow’s yield in KG, which is nearly identical to litres. This non Icar approved indicator is a great herd management tool as you will be able to tell when a cow is either up or down on her milk yield. This will then give the operator the information as to whether the cow is sick or whether she is yielding high and needs more ration. The GMi has the Automatic cluster remover built in, so that all you need with Gmi is a small milk flow sensor up on the line, the box for the Gmi and the ram for the remover. If you then wish to manually milk the cow you can control the remover through the Gmi control box. There will be a Gmi control box behind each cow. A key feature of our GMi milk indicators are that they give individual pulsation per unit, this means that if you are only milking two cows then only two pulsators are working, this will reduce noise in the parlour and also help the life of the liner as they will not be pulsing when they don’t need to be. The Gmi can be fitted into any parlour type, size or brand.
The AMi milk yield indicator is a more advanced non Icar approved milk indicator, with the ability to be linked up to a computer it will allow you to access all the information you need to monitor your herd correctly. The control box of the AMi also has a lot of added features including the milk yield, milk temperature and the milk conductivity as well as giving a graph of the milking in progress. The AMi like the GMi indicator has the Cluster remover built in and it also controls it when the operator needs to manually milk the cow. This indicator can record a lot of different information and can facilitate cow selection, feed to yield and heat detection and much more once it is linked to a computer and a program. For more information on the features that the AMi can perform see the smart Dairy system section.
The Boumatic Gascoigne Melotte milk meter is of the highest innovation and quality. The touchpoint milk meter system is one of the most advanced systems on the market and can perform a number of different tasks which make the milking process less labour intensive and stress free than ever before. The box can be linked to a computer to compile a database of all the details of your herd so that you will be able to manage your herd and maximise their output. The milk meter is fully Icar approved, meaning you can record data straight from the meter itself. For more information see the smart dairy system section.
